2019 Q3 Newsletter - ERAC Responder Training Curriculum: Courses Also Available to External Stakeholders

Our ERAC Responder Training curriculum, launched in March, is based on NFPA training standards and is composed of five sections of training with 19 courses total. Topics covered include Critical Incident Stress Management, identifying dangerous goods and hazards, planning the response, grounding and bonding, and more.

To date 50% of our responders have completed the new training curriculum.  All current registered team members will have until December 31, 2019 to complete the new online curriculum. The French curriculum will launch in 2020.

This curriculum and individual courses are also available for purchase from our website by ERAC Plan Participant members and stakeholders. An easy and affordable way to stretch both your knowledge and training budget!

For best viewing capability, please use either Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox to access the courses.

For our responders, ERAC has also updated the following on SafetySync:

  • Policies and Procedures
  • HSE Manual and ERP
  • Codes of Practice
  • General Operational Procedures
  • Flammable Liquids Operational Procedures
  • LPG Operational Procedures

These documents – 33 in total in English and French – are located under Documentation/Polices (previously under Resource Library). For our responders, these documents are enabled as optional and will not affect your compliance.
