ERAC Leo Sichewski Memorial Bursary

In 2016, a valued 24-year veteran of ERAC, Leo Sichewski, passed away. Leo trained, coached and mentored many responders over the years and was well known for his patience, understanding and commitment to lifelong learning.

In memory of Leo, we created the ERAC Leo Sichewski Memorial Bursary fund. 

Two bursaries, each valued at $1,000, are available to those who are currently enrolled in a training program related to health and safety, emergency management, or first responder fields.

The following may apply for the bursary:

• ERAC responders and family members

• Plan members and their family members
• Post-secondary students
  
  

Applications for the 2026 Leo Sichewski Memorial Bursary are closed. Details about the 2027 application process will be released early next year.
